Westside Suns are a large community based basketball club in Melbourne's Inner-West, with our catchment focused on the suburbs of Kingsville, Seddon, South Kingsville and Yarraville.
The Club offers pathways and opportunities for girls and boys ages from 3 through to 20 years old to participate in basketball, both through our own programs and entering teams into the local Westgate Basketball Association domestic competition.
At present, the club has 550 players in the local competition, across 69 teams.
Our Lil' Suns (3 to 4 year olds) and Junior Suns (5 to 8 year olds) programs are currently open for registrations, catering for up to 80 of our smallest ballers to learn the basic skills of basketball.
We're on an exciting trajectory and if you aren't already on-board, we'd love for you to join us.

DEVELOPMENT CLINICS WITH BELLA, SOPHIE & TESS FROM THE MELBOURNE BOOMERS
On Wednesday 12 January, the club held it's first all-girls representative basketball camp. With the support of our major sponsor, RCL Group, we were lucky enough to secure the services of Bella Niven-Brown, Sophie Burrows and Tess Heal from the Melbourne Boomers to deliver this camp, supported by our Head of Development, Nathan Morgan.
The camp was a great success with 25 girls attending over the two sessions, and delivering an opportunity for our more advanced players to have access to some phenomenal young basketball talent and learning opportunities.
COACHING CLINIC WITH ROB COULTER
Our club consists of approximately 500 families who have been impacted by the COVID-19 situation to varying extents. Our committee has commenced development of a strategy that will consider how we can best provide support to families as we recommence playing basketball at the end of 2020.
